Overview
By Light is seeking an experienced Materials & Warehouse Manager to lead and manage operations across three warehousing locations in the greater Daytona Beach area.
The Materials & Warehouse Manager will oversee and coordinate a variety of material control duties, including receiving, shipping, stocking, picking, data entry, government property inventory control operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in material control, warehouse management or supply chain management within a high-mix manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Typical Duties include but are not limited to the following :
- Oversee and manage material control operations across all warehousing locations.
- Oversees the storage, control, and distribution of materials required for production.
- Ensure compliance with FAR and contractual requirements for GFE and CAP.
- Monitor, manage all inventory levels, material usage and forecast material requirements and to prevent shortages or excess that could impact production schedules.
- Oversee scheduling and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Lead, develop, train & supervise the materials management team ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure efficient and accurate tracking of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure items are appropriately stored and secured.
- Coordinate receiving procedures and supervise warehousing processes.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation and records management for all materials and equipment.
- Ensure material availability during emergencies.
- Conduct regular audits / cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize MRP and barcode scanning systems to manage and track material resources effectively.
- Perform and coordinate a variety of material control duties, including receiving, shipping, stocking, picking, warehouse management and related data entry.
- Work overtime, including weekends with minimal notice, as needed.
- Forecast material requirements and calculate Estimates to Complete (ETCs).

Required Experience / Qualifications
- Associate's degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in material control or supply chain management in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate M.S. Excel skills.
- Experience working with MRP systems.
- Ability to work while standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends with minimal notice.
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in material control or supply chain management in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint MRP system.
Special Requirements / Security Clearance
Must be capable of becoming forklift and reach lift certified
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to work while standing for extended periods of time
