Title : Cook
What You’ll Do :
- Help dietician create menus.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of backing, frying, roasting, steaming, broiling, grilling, serving and carving.
- Prepares various food items including baked goods and desserts, meats, fish, poultry, shellfish, vegetables, garnishes, soups, and sauces according to standards.
- Plans and coordinates food production to meet serving schedules.
- Monitors foods for quality and seasoning and make corrections as needed.
- Utilizes and stores leftover foods according to industry standards.
- Schedules other kitchen help.
- Responsibility for tracking temps in refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher.
- Stock supplies and rotation of stock.
- Responsibility for cleaning kitchen area and regular cleaning of refrigerator and freezer.
- Ensures meals are delivered on time at the right temperature and following patient request.
- Responsible for meeting budget restrictions.
What You’ll Bring :
- High school diploma preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read & write.
- One year of cooking experience or equivalent training.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, standing; occasional climbing of stairs;
requires fine motor skills.
