Warehouse Worker / Qualified Driver

Overview :

PACE Supply has an exciting career opportunity available at our San Carlos, California location.

We are seeking a motivated warehouse person to strive for excellence and help us maintain our commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.

As a warehouse person at PACE Supply, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products, as well as performing general warehouse duties such as picking and packing orders, stocking shelves, and maintaining inventory.

Schedule : Monday thru Friday 7am to 4pm with opportunity for overtime.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to lift heavy packages, operate forklifts, and use hand-held scanners.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as you will interact with customers, suppliers, and team members on a daily basis.

Responsibilities :

Under direct supervision, prepares merchandise for customers by promptly filling and packaging orders for will call or shipping.

Receive and prioritize orders through supervisor-issued work tags.

Retrieve items from inventory using manual methods and / or forklifts.

Prepare materials for delivery or pick-up by customers, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

Verify the accuracy and timeliness of filled orders before delivery or pick-up.

Complete bills of lading for materials being delivered to customers.

Maintain organized files for customer pick-up orders, noting relevant information on invoices.

Serve "Express Will Call Customers" promptly to expedite order processing.

Assist with counter sales by entering orders into the system and pulling / loading orders.

Foster a positive work atmosphere by cooperating and communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications :

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

High school diploma / GED or equivalent education

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills.

Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes.

Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external interactions with customers and manufacturers.

Basic math skills, including counting and performing computations up to four digits.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Basic computer skills, including keyboarding.

Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and oral communication.

Strong problem-solving abilities, considering all factors and recommending appropriate solutions.

Adherence to workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures.

Physical Requirements :

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions :

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
