SUMMARY
The Sr Manager for North American Operational Excellence will champion the operational excellence initiatives on regional scale, driving the deployment of lean standards to increase productivity, efficiency and profitability across all functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive, execute and deliver Lean Transformation’ projects, that yield results with direct impact on the North American business unit.
Enable decision on a practical trade-off between Lean standard deployment and profitability ensuring that efforts, CAPEX and OPEX investment all contribute to an increase in overall company EBITDA figures.
Work closely with the ESG / Quality and HS team to drive greater awareness, strong process creation and adoption to reduce failure modes and non-conformity.
Synergize closely with the IFCO (sales) team to understand customer requirements and demands, ensuring that Continuous Improvement efforts supports these elements and contribute to higher levels of customer satisfaction.
Lead Kaizen events and problem-solving sessions with customers and relevant internal and external teams.
Work closely with the Information Technology team, acting as a vital feedback loop of process information, in an attempt to strengthen digital product rollout and general IT transformation efforts.
Work diligently with operational staff to review and improve company Lean standards, training manuals, SOPs and general tools that assist in driving the Operational Excellence initiative forward.
Champion the Operational Excellence communications initiative for the Region, ensuring that informative and engaging communications are consistently and timely distributed to the wider business, in an attempt to strengthen employee engagement in a time of rapid, transformative change.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong CI driver profile with coaching skills and a minimum of 5 years experience in leading BB projects
Proven achievement of 6 sigma projects in large and complex settings
10 years of ''hands-on'' experience in an operational environment
Experience in automation technology
Ability to lead and drive multiple priorities
Certified Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma or qualified via experience
Bachelor Degree
Knowledge and skills developed in a Six Sigma, TPM or LEAN implementation (Loss Tree Analysis is a plus)
Strong ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel
