Lead softwaredeveloper proficient in Angular and Spring Boot and able to takethe lead on software developmentprojects.

JOB SUMMARY :

• Individuals withinthe Software Development job family work closely with clientsbusiness analysts and team members to understand the businessrequirements that drive the analysis and design and / or developmentof quality technical solutions.
• These solutions mustbe aligned with Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) and State AgencyIT strategies and are compliant with the organizationsarchitectural standards.
• Software Developersare involved in the full systems life cycle and therefore areresponsible for designing coding testing implementing andsupporting applications that are delivered on time and withinbudget.
• Responsibilitiesbeyond development of applications may include participation incomponent and data architecture design technology planning productevaluation issue troubleshooting and resolution advanced testingprocesses and buy vs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible fortechnical leadership in the analysis design development integrationtesting and enhancement of software applications or middleware.

Actively involved in researching troubleshooting or resolvingcomplex support issues. Responsibilities include but may not belimited to thefollowing :

• Consults in theproject planning process with clients business analysts architectsand team members.
• Monitors projectmilestones and critical dates to identify potential projectschedule risks. Identifies ways to resolve schedule issues.

Keepsmanagement aware of project progress andstatus.

• May lead thetechnical evaluation and selection process for software ormiddleware packages. Supports any communication and trainingnecessary for successful adoption of selected tools orsoftware.
• Ascertains workeffort for various tasks within a project and assigns work to othermembers of the project when leading aproject.
• Communicates withbusiness analysts quality assurance project owners and stakeholdersabout the project including status roadblocksetc.
• Provides input forbuy vs. build recommendations. Researches the feasibility oravailability of custom open source and commercial (COTS) solutionalternatives.

Provides input on system options risk cost versusbenefit and impacts on business processes and goals. Provides inputto business cases and may assist in procurement activities for buydecisions.

Proactively analyzesexisting applications to identify weaknesses and developopportunities for improvements. May initiate the identificationanalysis implementation communication and adoption of technicalprocess improvements to benefit the team.

This may includerecognizing the potential for streamlining or automation ofexisting processes determining the value of new or differentapproaches to application implementations suggesting or proposingchanges to applications to solve or address existing problems.

Supports any change management necessary for implemented processimprovements.

Identifies systemand / or business requirements. Able to elicit analyze document andcommunicate business or technical requirements for designatedsystems or applications.

Has the ability to work with business andtechnology stakeholders to translate business requirements intotechnical designs.

Provides input to the architect on designapproaches.

• Recommends proceduresto solve problems considering computer equipment capacity andlimitations operating time form of desired results and integrationof components.
• Creates and helps toimplement conversion upgrade and migration designs. Recommends orapplies system patches and / or certificates in a timely manner andvalidates that they are kept up to date for designated applicationsor systems.
• Assists withdocumenting or demonstrating examples to ensure code data ordocument repositories are appropriately utilized accessedmaintained andupdated.
• Develops softwareand / or applications specifications. Makes recommendations andprovides input for decisions or considerations involving new codedevelopment or existing code reuse.

Recommends and develops methodsto efficiently reuse existing components. Identifies better sourcesof data feeds and interfaces.

• Provides input andassistance to architects when requested on software or systemspecifications selecting and adopting technologies or toolsprototyping solutions communicating technical decisions andassisting other developers with the adoption and understanding ofagreed upon technical approaches ordirection.
• Provides technicalleadership for the definition development and modification ofindividual or integrated software modules as well as enterpriseapplications using disciplined software development processes.
• Familiar with webdevelopment web platforms and content management. Understands andmay have working knowledge of graphics design mobilefirst anduserfirst web design approaches as well as other user interface(UI) or user experience (UX) implementationtechniques.
• Develops and helps todefine integrated solutions aimed at modernizing consolidating andcoordinating the independently designed applications within andacross the enterprise.

Codes integrates and tests componentsmiddleware data systems and their interfaces to create seamlesscommunications across services.

• Determines howexisting applications legacy systems databases Web interfacesenterprise server software and / or hardware logic which may becurrently operational on multiple platforms work together to meetnew and emergingrequirements.
• Adheres to technicalor quality standards and procedures. Reviews modules for qualityassurance and checks compliance with software architecturestandards.

Assists in defining and communicating developmentguidelines and standards to be utilized in software development andintegration.

Selects and effectively applies appropriatearchitecture or design standards methods and tools. Reviews thedesigns and code of other developers in collaboration witharchitects.

• Provides technicalguidance and support for unit testing of software modules to ensuresoftware meetsspecifications.
• Coordinates withconfiguration management on integration build activities acrosssystems or environments and understands how to perform or supportintegration builds in preparation for both integration and qualityassurance testing.

Provides input for deployment documents andrelated artifacts for production environmentdeployments.

Participates in andsupports both integration testing and quality assurance testingactivities which includes assisting with the test planning processperforming technical testing of integrated solutions to verifyappropriate outcomes or results of interfaces functions featuresand data as well as identifying or reporting defects changerequests or enhancements.

Helps others to resolve or fix identifieddefects or issues and also fixes them. May also assist with orparticipate in regression testing user acceptance testing orperformance / loadtesting.

• Documents changes toarchitecture integration and / or conversion plans. May develop andmaintain system and software architecturediagrams.
• Supports maintenanceof software asneeded.
• Makes applications ormodules production ready by including or referencing supportinglibraries incorporating supporting configuration or propertiesfiles updating version control documentation completing requiredforms following move to production proceduresetc.
• Provides Tier III(integration) support. Troubleshoots existing information systemsto identify errors or deficiencies and develops solutions.

Dissectsproblems or issues to identify and diagnose root causes anddetermine resolutions. Assists with communicating resolutions andhelping reporters of issues to understand or adoptresolutions.

Provides technicalleadership coaching and mentoring to team members. Providestechnical guidance along with business process expertise forprojects.

Creates technical documentation related to coding testingintegration support or best practices. Develops reports andpresentations for management as needed orrequested.

May provide input tohelp define analyze plan forecast measure monitor maintain andimprove systems and services availability which includes hardwaresoftware network data / storage core infrastructure / operationsvirtual and cloud solutions such as SaaS / IaaS (software orinfrastructure as a service) and security controls.

Assistsarchitects with managing systems and services to ensure that theymeet performance targets and businessneeds.

Has knowledge of thesecurity confidentiality and integrity of information systems andcomplies with adopted organizational standards or other relevantlegislation and regulations.

Understands how to incorporateappropriate security controls as a core part of designed solutionsor services.

Supports architectsin preparations for user client or partner engagements. Understandsthe needs of users clients or partners and may assist to interpretthose needs into solution proposals.

Able to engage in directinteractions with end users. Supports sales / marketing demosprototypes meetings or other such initiatives to generate awarenessor revenue for existing or potential products andservices.
