Payment Processing & Data Management
- Accurately input accounts payable vouchers, invoices, bills, and expenses to ensure timely payments.
- Handle the reconciliation and processing of subcontractor payment applications.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain sub-ledgers and ensure accurate entries into the accounting system.
General Ledger Maintenance & Reporting
- Make manual general ledger entries as required.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and regulations.
- Utilize current technologies to document and manage financial records effectively.
Compliance & Documentation
- Prepare necessary documentation for contracts, financial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure meticulous upkeep of financial records in line with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Support
- Assist the Senior Accountant and be ready to serve as a backup during their absence.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with an emphasis on accounting from an accredited institution.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently and in an organized manner.
- Strong work ethic, especially under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, rules, and regulations.
- Capability to work on an active construction site within an office environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction accounting.
- Prior experience with accounts payable.
