PUBLIC FINANCE ASSOCIATE MID-LEVEL

Our client, a highly respected AmLaw 50 national law firm, is seeking a mid-level Public Finance Associate to join their Finance Practice Group .
This position is available in Chicago, Detroit, Houston, or Milwaukee.
Candidate Profile :
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar admission in Illinois, Michigan, Texas, or Wisconsin, as applicable, in good standing.
- 3-5 years of substantive public finance experience .
- Mid-level bond counsel, lender’s counsel, and disclosure counsel experience.
- Experience working with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities .
- Knowledge of the principles of tax, securities, uniform commercial code, and contract law applicable to public finance .
- Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and matter management skills.
- Law school concentration in business law is preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Represent borrowers, issuers, financial institutions, and governmental entities in public finance transactions .
- Provide legal services in areas such as healthcare finance, economic development, housing, TIF and special assessments, infrastructure, and education .
- Draft and negotiate complex financial documents.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on high-stakes public finance matters.
- Direct interaction with clients and partners on significant matters, working independently and as part of a team.
