We are currently seeking a Social Services Assistant for the Arlington Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Birmingham, AL.
The summary of job duties includes planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility and as directed by the Facility Administrator, to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.
This role assists the Director of Social Services in acting as a liaison and representative of the residents' social interests.

Qualifications :
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, HealthCare Administration, or a related field, WITH relevant experience in marketing, admissions, and discharges.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Previous experience or completion of an appropriate training program.
- Previous SNF or hospital experience preferred.
- Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly.
