Job Description
Critical Business Analysis has an immediate need for a contract Renewable Energy Construction Estimator in the Detroit, MI area with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Estimating.
Previous experience in estimating owner side resource needs, indirect costs, and large project formats is a requirement.
This is a contract position for a minimum of one year and work will be conducted on a hybrid model with regular visits to the Detroit office.
Estimator will work directly with Engineering, Design, Supply Chain, and Controllers.
Pay is commensurate with experience
Requirements
- Home location that is driving distance to the Southeast, MI. project locations is required.
- Minimum 5 - 10 years' estimating experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or commensurate experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support multiple infrastructure renewable energy projects developing estimates, updating cost forecast, and tracking estimate at completion.
- Negotiate commercial terms for construction contracts.
- Leads, develops and provides analysis of project estimates / schedules.
- Ensures the credibility of the information contained in the estimate.
- Perform estimates on change orders / new projects and execute contracts.
- Lead value engineering sessions & manage the meeting process with optimal results.
- Provides direct support and expertise to project personnel and estimators / schedulers regarding estimating and / or planning.
- Provides expertise to develop methodologies, techniques and tools, software, standards and guidelines for estimating and / or planning / scheduling;
expert knowledge in application of estimating / scheduling software and application of the software.
- Supports the project teams and estimating / scheduling personnel efforts towards the development of the project plan and translating that project plan into the project estimate / schedule.
- Assists with the preparation of project time and / or cost claims.
- Ensures that required project estimating and / or planning / scheduling controls are appropriately implemented and maintained.
