Our client, a well-regarded boutique law firm in northwest metro Atlanta, has an immediate opening for a Construction Litigation Attorney who can join the firm on a full-time basis.
This is a full-time, contract opportunity that has the potential to become a permanent position at the firm for a candidate who is the right fit.
Job Title : Construction Litigation Attorney
Hours : 40 hours per week
Start date : ASAP
Duration : No end date, potential for temp to perm
Setup : Hybrid
Rate : $75-80 / hour
The candidate will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions practice, conducting discovery (including document review and e-discovery) and depositions, handling hearings and mediations, preparing for and participating in trials and / or arbitration hearings.
Requirements :
- Georgia law license in good standing
- Experience handling all facets of commercial litigation from pre-litigation evaluation and negotiation through trial.
- Construction experience and familiarity with Georgia lien laws
- Ability to incorporate overall litigation strategy into day-to-day tasks and familiarity with Georgia Civil Practice Act and local rules a must.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts
