Pay Rate : $17 per hour Shift : 8am - 4 : 30pm
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Lead to oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, a passion for optimizing processes, and excellent leadership skills.
The Shipping Lead will ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise daily shipping operations, including packing, labeling, and dispatching of products.
- Lead and train a team of shipping associates to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with various departments, including inventory management, customer service, and procurement, to streamline shipping processes.
- Monitor and analyze shipping metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement best practices for shipping procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers and negotiate rates and contracts.
- Address and resolve shipping issues, including delays, damages, and discrepancies.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar role, preferably in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team effectively. Benefits :
