Position Join our team at RTC! This full-time, classified and overtime eligible position is part of the Facilities team and reports to the Facilities & Grounds Services Director.

The Maintenance Mechanic 3 assists the Facilities and Grounds Services Director in the day to day operations of the department, interacting with college staff, contractors, and maintenance crew members as directed by the Director.

The Maintenance Mechanic 3 also performs their regular duties listed below and may assist with routine general maintenance tasks.

Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.Complete and process facilities work orders.Positively interact with college staff to investigate facilities related work requests.

Observe shop safety, shop organization, and the care / inventory of shop tools and equipment.Assist in the daily inspection of campus facilities for emergent repair needs.

Perform all building and equipment maintenance and repair as requested.Diagnose system failures and take corrective action.

Do scheduled maintenance on control systems.Maintain equipment service and maintenance schedules.Perform preventive maintenance on the following equipment, etc.

compressor air systemvalves, pumps, water heater, gas PRV'splumbing fixtures, domestic water systemair handling units, radiant heat systemexhaust fansoverhead rolling doorsPerform classroom / lab renovations to facilities as educational needs change.
