Maintenance Technician

Open Position : 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 7am 3pm
Elmet Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician
Requirements of the Maintenance Technician
- Proficient in the use of machine tools includes lathe, Bridgeport, power tools, etc.
- Welding and fabrication skills, TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
- Posses basic skills in preventative maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical tasks.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret instruction and operation, and complete maintenance documents.
- Ability to work effectively with production and fellow maintenance associates.
- Problem solving skills and ability to trouble-shoot issues.
- Basic mathematical skills, as well as ability to read measurements.
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Must attend classes to obtain or enhance skills as necessary.
- Personal hand tools required.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician :
- Routine maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Perform tasks as assigned by Maintenance lead person.
- Follow Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space Entry and all other policies and procedures.
- Complete all paperwork required including PM sheets, daily activity sheets, hot work permits, work orders, etc.
- Work safely at all times & wear all PPE required to safely perform the job.
- Respond to repair calls and to emergency calls during non-scheduled hours.
- Weekend / Holiday / Overtime coverage expected.
- Performs other tasks / projects as needed.
