Develop and implement enhanced coding strategies at Episource as our Manager, Coding Quality . In this leadership position, you will develop relationships with the coding team and help them improve production output under your guidance.

This role demands a leader who inspires and engages with their team and consistently guides them to enhance medical coding strategies.

This hybrid, full-time, San Antonio, Texas role reports to Episource's Sr. Manager Coding.

H ow you will impact Episource :

  • Serve as a medical coding expert . Leverage your advanced knowledge of medical coding to elevate the quality of your team's coding practices, leading them to exceptional results.
  • Cultivate communication and collaboration . Leverage your superior leadership skills and act as a coach and mentor within your team, promoting open communication and collaboration.

Offer constructive feedback to team members with empathy and understanding.

Partner with a passion . Collaborate closely with organizational leaders to deliver monthly business reviews to the executive leadership team, demonstrating your dedication and passion for the company's success.

What your journey at Episource will look like :

  • In your first three months at Episource , you will learn and absorb all the new information and coding quality processes and get to know the team.
  • Throughout your next six months at Episource , you will be performing most of your job responsibilities, which include managing the quality of all coding teams, solely submitting quality reports to the senior management, and preparing and sharing bi-weekly vendor coding dashboards.
  • By the end of your first year at Episource , you will own and manage all quality reports project resources, attend client / vendor calls, and manage all quality-related projects.

What you will bring to the Expert Teams at Episource :

  • Over five years of experience in managing HCC auditing practices
  • Medicare risk adjustment (HCC) auditor expertise
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified coder with both CPC CRC and completion of CPMA credential within one year of employment
  • Superior communication skills along with team management abilities
  • Mastery in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS
  • Experienced with procedure and process development
  • Strong background in multi-specialty coding
  • Proven Analytical Reasoning
  • Meticulous eye for detail
  • Seasoned in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding principles
  • Certification in HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Expert knowledge of MRA, ACA, and CDP
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong familiarity with coding standards, coding guidelines, and coding best practices

Salary Range (or rate) : $80,000 - $100,000 Annual Salary

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, and other relevant factors.

This is Episource's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position as of the time of posting.
