Assistant Payroll Manager
As an assistant Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for completing and / or reviewing all phases of payroll and various functions associated with weekly payroll activities.
Position responsibilities :
Sets new hourly employees up in COINS payroll; assists in maintaining employment documentation; updates payroll records (exemptions and other deductions).
MUST be familiar with Davis-Bacon Wages
- Validates rates entered on manual payroll timecards, weekly
- Investigates and resolves pay issues
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
- Assists with commission payroll, vehicle allowance, bonus incentive and all other special payroll
- Maintains employee and tax code files
- Weekly reporting to include child support deduction and 401K
- Assist in compliance with all the payroll financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations
- Maintain PTO / Division Employee List
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements :
- 10 or more years of Payroll experience required
- Certified payroll processer with experience of 400+ employees
- Experience working at a construction company preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite or similar software
- Experience in COINS Accounting System preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting

- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
- Ability to travel as needed
Compensation :
Salary Range Starting at : 60K+ based on qualifications and experience
