Director of Learning
Position Location Charlottesville, VA OR Raleigh, NC
Hybrid - Candidates will need to be local to Charlottesville OR Raleigh for team meetings (possibly 1-2 days per week)

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to serve and lead our learning community. This role provides the opportunity to set the direction for the future of learning programs.
In the coming years we expect learning programs to be revolutionized, a combination of engaging design with modern technology.
In short, you have the opportunity to shape learning programs for our clients by leading a team of people who instruct and support learning programs.
Elder Research created a Learning & Development business unit in 2019 with the acquisition of Statistics.com. This site currently serves approximately 1000 students per year and is growing.
Students include working professional learners and groups from top organizations. In all cases, we promote a high-touch, people-centered learning experience.
Summary of Position Responsibilities :
Our primary clients are large groups and individual long-term learners. We believe a satisfied customer is one who receives an impactful learning program that immediately provides value. This role serves by :
- Creating and enhancing learning programs, courses, and designs
- Directing a team of instructors and course support staff
- Identifying and implementing new technology to enhance learner experience
- Working directly with clients to shape long-term learning programs
- Identifying market needs and creating offers to support business growth
This Role Will :
- Communicate online (email / Slack) with occasional phone interaction
- Report to the VP of Learning & Development
- Work directly with team members distributed globally
