Job scope

FLSmidth is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team. The Developer will have responsibility for a platform for advanced sensors in the mining industry, including computer vision with deep learning, and digital signal processing on accelerometer and vibration sensors.

Full stack includes React + Typescript front end, Scala + OpenCV backend, and MongoDB as storage.

• Documentation

• Working with other internal developers
• Debugging
• Contribute to product feature prioritization and technology roadmaps
• Design, build and unit test highly scalable applications
• Identify new technologies, trends, and opportunities

What You Bring

We realize that it is unlikely that a candidate has experience with all the technologies used in this role. A successful candidate will have a subset of them, with a desire to work using them, and experience that would support fast adoption.

• 8+ years of experience with React + Typescript, Scala + OpenCV, and MongoDB.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a growth-mindset and highly collaborative team environment.
• Good communication in this role is essential, as is a mindset of teamwork.
