Job Title : Pharmacy Technician
Location : Long Island City, NY, 11101
Shift : Mon-Fri 9 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $20-25 per hour
Job Summary : Our client is seeking a dedicated and efficient Intake Pharmacy Technician to join their pharmacy team in Long Island City, NY.
The ideal candidate will be exceptional on the phone and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. This role involves managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls to assist patients with prescription refills and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities :
- Answer and make phone calls to patients regarding their prescription fills and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and transactions.
- Resolve patient inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure timely and accurate prescription processing and delivery.
- Utilize PrimeRx MicroMerchant software to manage patient information and prescriptions (experience preferred, but not required).
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Experience in a call center environment is preferred.
- Experience with PrimeRx MicroMerchant software is a bonus.
- Spanish speaking skills are a bonus.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment :
The position involves sitting at a cubicle and managing phone communications for the majority of the workday.
