Job Description

Position Summary

• Be a key member of Walmart Customer Care application team.
• Lead quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and / or software.
• Support continuous integration process improvement and innovation.
• Write test plans, test strategy and test cases (automated).
• Identify opportunities for improved software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot critical defects in software coding.
• Work closely with the Developers and Engineers to achieve a high level of code coverage.
• Assist in providing guidance to offshore associates.
• Socialize and Collaborate testing efforts with peers.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement QA test automations for Walmart Customer Services applications.
• Work with OneOps, Devtools and developers to streamline the release process.
• Author test plans and manage test cases and test passes.
• Conduct manual testing as needed during various development cycles.
• Coordinate UAT’s with business users and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills :

• 3+ years of experience in hands-on coding, design in Java and / or test automation tools development.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and coding.
• Passionate about building or using tools to improve application quality effectively.
• Experience with using popular test frameworks, i.e. TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver.
• Experience working with one or more database technologies (Oracle, MySql, etc).
• Understanding of web technology including HTTP headers, Http Verbs (post, get, etc).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or above.

Additional Information

• Good communication skills are a big priority.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (Jenkins / Maven).
• Good understanding of GIT.
• Experience with Code Quality Governance related tools (Sonar, Gerrit, PMD, FindBugs, Checkstyle, Emma, Cobertura, JIRA, etc).
• Excellent collaboration skills with infrastructure engineering team.
