Job Type Part-time Description
Position purpose : The Mobile Medical Assistant will contribute to efforts designed to provide healthcare to new arrivals, migrant and refugee families.
Their duties include clinical and administrative tasks to support healthcare providers and ensure efficient patient care.
Mobile Medical Assistant will provide comprehensive and continuous care, addressing both immediate health needs and long-term health education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient check-in, taking vital signs, and recording medical histories.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and providing necessary information.
- Collect and process specimens such as blood, urine, and swabs for laboratory testing.
- Attend team meetings regularly and relevant educational trainings.
- Help patients navigate the healthcare system, understand their rights, and access necessary services.
- Collaborate with local clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare providers to arrange follow-up care and specialist referrals.
- Provide patients with information on managing chronic conditions, preventive health measures, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Keep track of supplies in an efficient manner.
- Assist with transporting materials up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High School / GED minimum.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required
- Experience working in healthcare for 2-3 years preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish required
