UnitedLex Professional Services is urgently sourcing remote legal preservation specialists for a consultative, collaborative legal project supporting our international financial client.
Prior experience administering a records retention program, ideally within a financial organization, is required, as the project involves the thoughtful consideration of client files and technical data systems to support legal strategies and legal hold compliance.
This engagement may last six months or longer and is an excellent opportunity to advance your skills and gain exposure to executing consultative legal strategies within a prestigious financial institution.
Details :
- Start Date : As quickly as possible following virtual interview and preliminary background screen launch
- Duration : Phase 1 anticipated several weeks with additional phases planned for 6-12 months
- Pay Rate : $40 / hour
- Location : Fully remote
- Job Type : Temporary, with anticipated 40 hours per week
Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough legal analysis on issues related to financial institutions, technical data systems, and data retention.
- Review and analyze client technical data systems to support legal strategies and legal hold compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, business, and IT teams to ensure adherence with data preservation efforts, including the identification, collection, and organization or relevant data sources.
- Draft legal memoranda, summarize findings, and provide feedback and insight regarding specific and general applications of legal hold policies.
- Collaborate with delivery teams, client legal personnel, and various delivery departments to acquire necessary information with professionalism and courtesy.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctorate degree from ABA Accredited Law School
- Experience with designing and leading projects to success across cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to consult on technical solutions and integrate multiple disciplines into an optimized delivery structure
- Proven ability to own and positively influence the customer relationship as part of a broader team
- Experience presenting to clients and internal teams on technical solutions and best practices
- Technical awareness and ability to understand Preservation solutions and customer requirements from both functional and technical angles
- Prior experience with digital forensics and / or legal hold technology and processes is a plus, but not required.
- Prior experience researching or analyzing the application of data retention or legal hold policies, ideally but not necessarily in a legal context
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
