Responsibilities :

  • Process payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage payroll-related tasks, including data entry, wage calculations, and deductions.
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks and direct deposits accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports for management.
  • Handle payroll tax filings and ensure timely payment of payroll taxes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, particularly those affecting multi-state payroll.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role, with a focus on multi-state payroll.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Excel; experience with ADP or similar systems is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively within a team.
