Even though we deal in boats, we operate all year round with tasks and paces that vary with the seasons.

This is a full-time position and will require Saturday and overtime hours during peak season. Starting employees will have the ability to learn and grow in their careers with M-W Marine.

Compensation : $48,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

• Moving boats around our yard using a tractor
• Setting up new boats for our showroom
• Setting up new and used boats for customer pick-up
• Installing Mercury outboard engines, Humminbird, Lowrance, and Garmin fish locators, and Minnkota and Motorguide trolling motors along with other accessories that customers may want to have installed on their boat
• Pulling cables through boats and performing basic wiring to hook up accessories
• Running the engine to make sure there are no issues and that all safety features are operational
• Cleaning the complete rig for customer pick up or for our showroom

This list is not inclusive but should give a good idea of what a person in this job would be expected to do on a day-to-day basis.

We will train all new employees to get them oriented with performing these tasks.

Qualifications :

• A valid driver’s license is necessary
• Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed
• Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Have mechanical experience
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Have the ability to listen to customer's needs
• Be able to communicate with customers professionally and courteously
• Have strong organizational, writing, and verbal skills
• Be able to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Be able to work well with minimal supervision
• Have the ability to maintain seasonal hours - Saturdays and overtime hours will be required during peak seasons
• Have the ability to work standing for extended periods of time
