Job Summary

Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient, timely, and accurate acquisition of goods and services for our client's employees.

This role involves managing the entire procurement process in collaboration with assigned bureaus, ensuring adherence to governmental procurement guidelines and policies.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Reviewing, verifying, and processing requisitions; creating and maintaining Purchase Orders and Contracts
  • Managing contracts from inception to completion and serving as the primary point of contact for vendors
  • Assisting the Director in preparing Requests for Response (RFRs), drafting detailed scopes of services, and participating in the analysis and review of responses
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to promote understanding of Equitable Procurement practices
  • Collaborating with finance departments to ensure accurate project setup and approval processes
  • Resolving issues related to incomplete or inaccurate invoices in coordination with Payables
  • Generating various data analysis reports for internal and external reporting purposes
  • Identifying and reporting key metrics by categories and types
  • Participating in projects with third-party software consultants to implement system improvements
  • Providing contract information and supporting documentation for internal and external audits
