JOBSUMMARY
This is an outside sales position responsible forpromoting the company's products and services and for buildingrelationships with new and existing accounts.
The main focus is tohelp Freshpoint customers succeed while achieving sales and profitgoals established by the company. This position may require workingsome non-traditional hours (evening, weekends, and holidays) tosuccessfully meet customers' needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Developnew business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lostbusiness to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectiveswithin assignedterritory.
Seekand qualify prospects following company account stratificationgoals.
Researchcustomer business needs and develops a mix of products and serviceto meetneeds.
Evaluatemarket trends and recommend products to customers, based onbusiness needs andgoals.
Beinformed of market conditions, product innovations, andcompetitors' products, prices, and sales; share information withcustomers as part of value-added servicesprovided.
Answercustomers' questions about products, prices, availability, andproductuse.
Provideproduct information and practical training to customerpersonnel.
Drivepersonal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, companymeetings,etc.
Communicateand collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with thecredit department and client; collect all balances due based onapproved creditterms.
Managedeliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportationdepartment; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the orderprocess (for example, out of stock items, special order items, lowinventory,etc.).
Participatein company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customerevents.
Attendand participate in general sales and districtmeetings.
Engagein ongoing trainingsessions.
Assistwith the training of new employees asrequested.
Reviewand analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-orderrequests, customer bid files, and sales / gross profit margindata.
Performadministrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports,maintaining sales records, processing credits, and pick-uprequests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filingreports.
Otherduties may beassigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
HighSchool degree or equivalent
Experience
Minimum2 years of sales, and / or chef / restaurant management experience,and / or related (Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality;
orCulinary Arts)degree.
1year of outside foodservice sales experiencepreferred
Restaurantmanagement / chef experiencepreferred
Skills
Proficientin Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and some knowledge of Salesforceaplus
Workingknowledge of warehouse distribution, aplus
