Description
Principle Responsibilities
SchedulingSchedules and / or reschedules patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests and other related appointments.
Enters all scheduling documentation in the electronic medical record.Registers patients, verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations as needed.
Creates, deletes and modifys schedule versions and calendars to reflect changes in Therapist schedules.Arranges interpreter services for patients as needed.
Administrative department supportProvides department reception, patient check-in and telephone coverage, routing messages accordingly.
Organizes and maintains department records, manuals and patient education materials.Participates in completion of patient data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards.
Creates and maintains all training materials for new and current employees.Assists physicians with reimbursements / expense reports, physician credentialing, charge capture and medical records.
- Provide department supportMaintains governmental payor logs, including faxing.Updates patient charts.Assists department with sending email communication related to initial patient assessments.
- Chart preparationAnalyzes patient records to determine if outside documents are needed.Contacts document source, obtains records, scans and index into the electronic medical record.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age with education and / or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description, and High school diploma or GED preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
