- Position / Specialty : ER Tech
- Shift : Days / Evenings (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM and 11 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 PM)
- Patient Visits Per Day : 90-130
- Experience Required : Minimum 1 year of experience
- First-timers Accepted : Yes
- Weekend Requirement : Will work up to every other weekend as needed
- Certifications Required : BLS (Preferred : PALS, ACLS, EMT, EMT-B)
- Floating Requirement : May be floated to Med / Surg or SCU unit as an attendant as needed
- Pending License : Accepted
- Requested Time Off (RTO) Restrictions : Ideally no more than 5 days
Special Requirements :
- Work Setting Experience Required : Acute Care, Urgent Care, Trauma Level 3, Teaching
- Work Setting Experience Preferred : Urgent Care, Trauma Level 1, Trauma Level 2, Children's Hospital
- General Skills Experience Required : Vital Signs, 12-lead EKG, AED / Defibrillator, Splinting, Wound Care, Crutch Training
- Patient Care Tech Experience : Minimum of 1 year of ED experience required
Education and Certifications :
- Education : High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Vocational degree in a health-related field preferred.
- Certifications :
- BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
- Licensed Emergency Medical Tech - EMT certification required if working in MN or WI.
- Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.
