Job Title : Baer and ADS Controller
Reports To : Corporate Controller
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees all accounting functions (including AR / AP reconciliation, financial reporting and closing, and budget preparation) and leads accounting staff for both Baer Braking and ADS Suspension
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to generally accepted accounting principles
- Perform consolidations of multiple domestic and international entities in primary accounting system
- Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Oversee, monitor and work to improve accounting procedures and monthly closing processes
- Guide and assist other departments by clearly communicating current accounting policies and procedures as well as composing and disseminating new procedures and policies as necessary for process improvement
- Coordinate external audits
- Assist corporate controller with acquisitions and integrations activities
- Assist corporate controller with a variety of tasks as needed and handle special projects as requested by management
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with a solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
- At least eight years of work experience in finance or accounting
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strongly Preferred
- Public accounting experience with CPA status
- Experience in a public company, manufacturing setting
