Summary :
ATI Millersburg is seeking a Master Machinist to join our team. This is a swing shift position typically working Monday-Thursday between the hours of 3 : 00 pm - 1 : 00 am and may require overtime, including weekends.
The primary functions of a Master Machinist is to produce finished aerospace-quality components through design, programming, construction of fixturing, with unique tooling and dies.
This position requires layout, setup, tool selection, programming, and operation of CNC and manual equipment to make finished machined components of tight tolerances and specified finishes.
On a daily basis you will use Hexigon PC-DMIS and Mastercam software and operate the CNC Mill and Lathe.
In order to be successful and provide immediate impact you will have to be self-motivated and quickly learn ATI processes and products.
The Master Machinist will able to adapt and function in a consistently changing environment, utilize your exceptional communication skills to interact professionally with other department personnel including Quality, Engineering, and internal and external customers.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful Master Machinist.
Job Duties
- Read and interpret prints, sketches of complex part drawings, and follow work instructions.
- Program CNC assets utilizing G&M code directly or conversational programming at the asset control or CAM software offline.
- Setup and Operate CNC Mills & Lathes, Manual Mills & Lathes, Saws, and Presses.
- Perform in process inspections using multiple inspection equipment, and an understanding of ASME Y14.5.
- Machine exotic metals to include : Zirconium, Niobium, and Titanium.
- Operate CMM inspection equipment (Hexagon preferred).
- Perform all duties in a safe and timely manner.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Candidate must have four years verifiable Journeyman level as a machinist in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills
- The ability to calculate proper feeds and speeds through math calculations.
- Good communication skills.
