Coordinator, Coat Drive Operations

About New York Cares

New York Cares exists to turn passion into action, leverage resources through partnership, and create long-lasting change across New York City.

We've become the City's leading volunteer management organization by adapting and responding to our most pressing community needs from everyday challenges like food insecurity and educational inequity to relief efforts in response to 9 / 11 and the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we grow our team, we are committed to creating a workforce that reflects the communities we serve, and fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, finds a place of belonging, and brings their authentic self to work.

About The Signature Partnerships and Events

New York Cares’ Signature Partnerships & Events (SPE) department is the partnerships and event management team of the Programs division.

Frequently on the ground, the department executes volunteer events with excellence, ensuring participants have the best possible service experience in every New York Cares project or event.

SPE ensures that our projects and annual events follow volunteer engagement and programmatic best practices, and that all logistics are effectively managed.

We build strong relationships with corporate and community partners by consistently stewarding those relationships. We share a belief that all New Yorkers can make a meaningful difference on the most pressing issues our communities face.

About the Coat Drive Operations Coordinator

  • Staff the Coat Drive warehouse in midtown 2-3x per week to receive coat deliveries and help facilitate coat sorting and distribution projects.

This list is not an exhaustive job description. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
