As System Test Manager, you are accountable for product quality assurance before production release and regulatory device certification.

You will lead a technical team to verify and validate the functionality, performance, safety, and reliability of complex end-to-end products that include but are not limited to sensors, aftermarket vehicle interfaces, IoT technologies, and regulatory reporting systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and product development teams to ensure that products meet high-quality standards before release.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Verify and validate devices and systems meet customer and business product requirements before production release :

  • Document clear acceptance criteria and verify with stakeholders.
  • Co-lead and manage the process for transitioning test plans from development testing to the system quality testing group.
  • Create test strategy, test plans, and procedures, and manage their execution.
  • Plan and execute the procurement and / or set-up of test prototypes and equipment necessary to carry out the tests.
  • Document test setups, procedures, guiding logic, and results.
  • Control execution of testing with attention to detail and learnings captured.
  • Rigorously track, document, and manage all known defects to resolution or ensure high visibility to risk.
  • Write technical summaries to clearly articulate analyses, options, and recommendations to the team and leadership as appropriate.

2. Rigorously pre-test products to ensure they meet current regulatory requirements. Manage the technical execution of regulatory testing to ensure devices pass and maintain regulatory certification schedule and current standards.

3. Perform manager duties such as mentoring, clearing barriers, communicating priorities, performance evaluations, and having technical ownership of the team's output.

4. Maintenance, inventory control, and management of testing tools required for system testing, including product samples, prototypes, vehicles, and vehicle simulator kits.

5. Manage the test vehicle fleet including buying, selling, and maintenance.

6. Support and build relationships in cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize collaboration output. This includes providing demonstrations, training, equipment, and support to employees who need hands-on product knowledge to fulfill their job responsibilities.

7. Drive continuous improvement to drive efficiency and excellence in system testing functions and workflows.

8. Build and adhere to the budget required to execute workflow and processes.

9. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

1. Four-year engineering, technical degree or equivalent experience.

2. 5+ years' experience working with customer facing sensors, hardware products, IoT and backend integration.

3. 5+ years' experience working in final system test execution.

4. Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into testable acceptance criteria, with very high attention to detail.

5. Demonstrated experience with process ownership and continous improvement.

6. Experience working with highly regulated products and / or the field of compliance

7. Experience leading small teams formally or informally.

8. Experience with lab instrument management.

9. Experience demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.

10. Valid driver's license and ability to drive

11. Travel up to 10%
