Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for California Licensed Armed Transportation Officers for Starside’s Detention Transport Contracts in Sacramento.
Our Detention / Transportation Officers work at various Detention facilities and Transport to various locations in California.
The transport of detainees, inmates and Patients from various facilities making sure the Care, Custody and Control of the individual being transported and protecting and securing both the public and the Detainee by preventing escape.
Starside also protects the public and the inmate from harm.
Ideal Candidate
- Clean Background / Clear Credit, (No Convictions) / DMV
- Pass a Pre-employment Physical
- California Guard Card
- California Exposed Firearms Permit (9mm, .40 Caliber)
- Previous Government Service a plus
- Willing to work As Needed / Part Time / Flex / Full Time when needed and Overtime
- Minimum 3 years handling Prisoners / Detainees within the previous 5 years
- Minimum 2 years Supervisory Experience in the Corrections or Detention Setting
- Special Operations / Military a plus (DD214)
- All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance
Compensation is $ 35.00 to $ 40.00 per hour. Starside offers 80 Hours vacation and 56 hours of sick time after 1 year of employment, (as a percentage of full-time that was worked).
Officers must be approved by The State, Local or Federal Agency that is requesting the Transportation Officer and pass their background
