DESCRIPTION

Our Charleston, WV office is currently seeking Forestry Consultants to join the team.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant should demonstrate :

• 10 + years of demonstrated experience cruising and valuing timber in National Forests within the state of West Virginia.
• BS / BA in biology, forestry, natural / aquatic resources
• Proven experience preparing timber valuation and related survey plans for review and approval by the U.S. Forest Service.
• Proven experience conducting timber valuation and related surveys within the George Washington and Monongahela National Forests in West Virginia.
• Must be able to walk and / or hike over very steep and rugged terrain, sometimes over great distances (average daily walking distance up to 4 miles), while carrying both personal and company equipment.

Must be able to lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs.

Compass and orienteering skills strongly desired.

COMPENSATION

The compensation range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
