POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Associate’s Degree with relevant experience required; Bachelor degree in digital / internet marketing, business, computer science or communications preferred.
- 2+ years of experience evaluating website accessibility required.
- 3+ years of web communications, web development, or other digital marketing experience required.
- Knowledge of U.S. and internal accessibility standards required.
- Knowledge of digital assistive technologies (JAWs, Siteimprove, NVDA, Voiceover, Talkback) required.
- Knowledge of basic HTML5, CSS, and Java preferred.
MAJOR DUTIES :
- Perform regular accessibility audits of corporate websites and other digital properties for compliance with WCAG and related international standards.
- Periodically review digital properties and make recommendations.
- Establish guidelines, best practices, and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites.
- Manage the process and work with a vendor to convert documents to ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Ensure documents are correctly posted to websites.
- Develop and maintain training documentation on accessibility standards.
- Evaluate and recommend assistive software and hardware, as needed.
- Identify, implement, and oversee the tools for monitoring website accessibility.
- Consult and collaborate with marketing and information technology personnel to contribute to the company’s digital accessibility programs.
- Keep abreast of accessibility technology changes and guidelines.
HOURS / LOCATION :
- 8 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m. (overtime as required)
