Data Governance Analyst

The Data Governance Analyst is a crucial driver and facilitator of our Data Governance projects.This role will focus on business process improvements, technical system implementations, and data quality analytics work.

Acting as a business-facing ambassador for our Data Governance program, the role will assist in translating business pain points into impactful solutions.

The role will need both solid business and technical knowledge. This role acts as a key point of contact with our business stakeholders and must be comfortable acting as a subject matter expert by providing guidance to business partners.

What you'll be doing :

• Strong ability to liaise with business partners by leading and facilitating discussions during Data Governance Committee meetings, root cause discoveries, brainstorm sessions, technical requirement review, UAC testing, etc.
• Assist in selecting and implementing new MDM / PIM technology solutions.
• Collect and manipulate data to develop data quality dashboards, perform data quality analysis, and execute corrective action.
• Executes key data governance processes, including the intake and prioritization process, discovery, critical data asset identification, data cataloging, and monitoring.
• Lead the collection and management of our Data Glossary, Business Quality Rules, and other forms of metadata.
• Performs research to scope day-to-day issues, identify solution paths, and drive execution.
• Create and manage data workflows, including creating process flows, aligning technical workflows with business processes, and streamlining data processes for our business partners.
• Work with business and technical partners to implement (discover, design, and deploy) new process improvements.
• Measure process compliance with key business partners and actively look for areas of improvement.
• Leading training sessions on Data Governance best practices and provide ongoing mentorship for our Data Stewards.

What we look for :

• Bachelor's degree business or in another relevant field required
• 3+ years of experience working in data management role (governance, analytics, engineering, master data management, etc), with previous participation in at least two large information transformation projects.
• Experience working in manufacturing or a CPG organization is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and understanding of GS1, ISO, and other global standards organizations
• Solid understanding of master data management, data governance frameworks, and principles.
• Demonstrated ability to understand business processes and the definition of data requirements to meet complex business needs.
• Skilled at developing presentations with business / technical details for key stakeholders.
• Experience with Data Governance / MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, Tibco, Collibra, etc.).
• Proficiency in using data analytics and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
• Ability to be proactive, confident, and assertive
• Experience in a global company
