Custom Home Construction Purchasing Manager / Estimator

Company : We are partnered with a client that is a well-established construction company specializing in high-end custom home construction and renovations.

Their projects are primarily located in the prestigious Greater Charleston region.

Position : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager / Estimator to join our client's team. This role will primarily focus on estimating and will also involve working closely with the production team to verify contract amounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hands-on construction work, with a deep understanding of the construction process.

Responsibilities :

• Estimate costs for custom home construction and renovation projects
• Assist the production team in verifying contract amounts
• Work closely with the controller on purchase orders
• Oversee budgets and supervise sites
• Transition more into an office setting while maintaining some field presence
• Meet with trades and vendors to ensure project needs are met

Requirements :

• 5+ years of hands-on construction experience
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing / estimating
• Ability to do take-offs and work with budgets
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and Word docs
• Experience with Buildertrend (a plus)
• Sales experience (a plus)
• Positive attitude, kind, team player, and a go-getter
• Experience with high-end custom renovations
• Client-facing experience
• Understanding of hurricane codes (a plus)
• Beach / water experience (a plus)

Location : 75% in-office, 25% in the field (primarily in Charleston and surrounding areas)

Salary : Competitive, commensurate with experience

Car allowance : $500 / mo, Cell , Computer, No weekends!
