About The Position

- Must work at least one weekend shift per weekGuaranteed Hours : 36 HoursExperience : Critical Care Stepdown experience - Required : 2 YearsLicense : Current State Nursing License;
RN License - RequiredCertifications : NIHSS, BLS, & ACLS - RequiredMust-Have : - Experience with vasoactive drips, trach vents, DKA, insulin drips, etc.
Skills in using special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, or oxygen equipment- Ability to effectively communicate, assess, and provide care to patients and familiesJob Description : - Perform comprehensive body system assessments, including pain assessment- Incorporate clinical indicators (labs, radiology, vital signs) in SBAR hand-off reports- Assess biological, psychological, physical, and cultural needs of patients / families- Recognize and provide ongoing assessment of any changes in patient condition- Collaborate with disciplines to address the needs of assigned patients- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and autonomy in interactions with physicians and physician assistants- Provide health education and procedural information based on patients' needs- Implement and update individual care plans to meet ongoing patient and family needs- Ensure a clean work environment and adherence to clinical skills and quality measures- Precept students and new hires and serve as a resource to others- Utilize time management skills to prioritize patient care and manage shift transitions effectively- Comply with documentation standards ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and focus on problem-oriented care
