Job Overview
The Welcome Center Bilingual Spanish Scheduler provides scheduling support to the Welcome Center and is responsible for calling families to schedule appointments associated with the screening of potential EL students.
The Bilingual Scheduler may also assist with monitoring department voicemail and email boxes, preparing team schedules, and helping families successfully navigate their Welcome Center visits.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Assists Welcome Center Program Assistant with scheduling Welcome Center appointments, at multiple locations, and coordinating with Welcome Center staff to ensure all necessary and appropriate information / resources are in place for a successful appointment
- Answers questions about Welcome Center services to include LCPS registration requirements and LIEP (Language Instruction Educational Program) services
- Receives incoming telephone calls courteously and takes messages as needed
- Assists Welcome Center Program Assistant with sorting / delivering mail and routing interoffice correspondence
- Supports Welcome Center staff with creating a warm and welcoming environment and ensuring a positive flow of appointments
Qualifications
Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Possess strong oral and written English and Spanish communication skills
- Possess effective interpersonal skills to work with parents as well as school and community agency personnel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment, tact, and courtesy
- Demonstrates ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, and has knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) and data record keeping
- Experience with MS Bookings or other Scheling software, preferred
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills

This part-time hourly position reports to the Welcome Center Supervisor in the Division of English Learners
Additional Details :
This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position. No guarantee of minimum hours.
Currently looking for someone who can work 11 am 4 : 30 pm at least two days per week
