SALARY RANGE : Starting at $22 / hourly, commensurate with qualifications / education.
REPORTS TO : LEAD FRC
CLASSIFICATION : NON-EXEMPT / HOURLY
SCHEDULE : Full-Time, Monday-Friday (7 : 30AM to 4 : 30PM) with occasional nights and weekends on volunteer basis
JOB SUMMARY : As a member of the Birth to Three team, the FRC will provide coordination of services for families of children with developmental delays and act as a liaison for community resources while maintaining necessary paperwork and timelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Not an Exhaustive List) :
- Coordinate the processing of initial referrals to CDC that are assigned, coordinate the evaluation for Birth-3 early intervention services through Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) through transitioning to school district services for eligible children and families.
- Develop the Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) in appropriate skill areas for all eligible program participants in partnership with parents and services providers.
- Create and identify goals and functional outcomes for eligible children in partnership with parents and services providers.
- Coordinate each family’s EI services in the natural environments through visits in the family home and other community settings.
- Share ongoing / new concerns as they arise with the services providers to address possible need for new / ongoing evaluation / assessment.
- Understand and use the EHR system (AdvancedMD) for scheduling appointments, to keep child records, notes, and progress up do date.
- Attends and participates in all safety, job specific required training, and informational meetings.
Requirements :
- FRC training through DCYF / ESIT (to be completed within 90 days of being hired).
- DSHS background check approval.
- Experience in working as a FRC or in a similar capacity for at least one year.
- Must have a State of Washington driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of vehicle insurance.
- Awareness of resources / services in the community.
- Home visiting experience preferred.
- Personal experience with infants and toddler with special health care needs and their families.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards, confidentiality, and ensuring equity and inclusion in a diverse workplace.
- Understanding of EHR (AdvancedMD), Microsoft Office Suite, databases, and other related software.
- Due to our work with vulnerable populations, a background check including criminal record history, and pre- employment drug screening is required.
- Due to working in a building with access to children, immunization history and a negative Tuberculin test is required. COVID-19 vaccination is required.
