Due to steady company growth, we are actively searching to add a Project Accountant to our accounting team in our Roseville, CA office! We’re a well-established general construction firm and are looking for a great candidate to help us keep up!
While we are certainly looking for a qualified candidate on paper, who you are as a person matters greatly to us as we have a very collaborative team with each member of our accounting department assisting where needed.
The role is Project Accountant in title but is heavily focused on pre-liens / lien releases along with owner and subcontractor billings.
Please note that Procore software experience is required.
We are currently working an onsite schedule in our Roseville, CA
This is a direct hire (no contract period) position
The compensation for this role ranges from 75-85,000 / year but we may be able to stretch for the ideal candidate

RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate timely receipt of pay applications with subcontractors
Review and post subcontractor pay applications
Monthly lien waiver tracking
Prepare monthly owner pay applications for Project Manager review
Finalize and prepare owner pay application package
Review, obtain and organize owner pay application backup documentation
Review project job costs monthly for discrepancies
Assist with accounts receivable aging
Assist with project audits
Assist with collection of supplier and subcontractor lien releases
Assist with collecting and tracking prevailing wage documentation
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent listening skills and strong written and oral communication skills
Must have 2+ years’ experience in an accounting role in the construction industry
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications, and Procore
Bluebeam AND / OR Sage 100 experience extremely nice to have
Must be knowledgeable with California lien laws and preliminary notices
Ability to work with all levels of project staff and organization
