Spring Grinding Operator
Hoosier Spring, a global leader in precision Aerospace Industry compression and extension springs, located in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a Spring Grinding Operator.
Job Type : Full-Time (2nd shift opportunities available)
Summary of Duties :
Set- up and operation of auto down-feed and crush grinding equipment. Candidate may be required to hand grind on pedestal grinders as well.
Must be able to hold aerospace tolerances.
- Perform in-process measurements to aerospace tolerances using various types of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers and spring load testers.
- Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Read and follow work instructions, job work orders and blueprints
- Performs daily machine maintenance
- Understand and follow instructions
- Capable of lifting 50 LBS.

Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent- strong math background preferred
Experience : Experience in manufacturing environment is required, familiarity with various types of M&TE as well as machining experience is desired
