FT Library Assistant - Mount Laurel Library

The Mount Laurel Library is seeking a team member to work in the Circulation Department coordinating our expanding Library of Things and volunteer opportunities. You will be helping us continue our mission of creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for library users by providing services of interest to the residents of Mount Laurel.

DESCRIPTION

• Perform Circulation Desk responsibilities including check-in / check-out library materials; issue library cards and renew existing cards for library customers; handles cash register entries, transactions, and calculating change;run daily circulation reports and library notices and shelve and shelf-read library materials,assist with building opening or closing procedures
• Coordinate Library of Things collections including Museum Passes, game consoles, hotspots and other new collections.
• Assists with building opening or closing procedures
• Approaches challenging customer situations with a caring demeanor
• Is a team member who welcomes and accepts input; seeks out advice on how to handle situations and supports team members by keeping them informed and offering help
• Performs other duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS

SCHEDULE

35 hours per week, evening and weekend hours required.
