Alabama State University, College of Liberal Arts and Social Science, Department of Social Work, invites applications for the 10-month tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Social Work.
The selected faculty member will teach across the Social Work curriculum, engage in student advising, participate in professional, academic, and community service, engage in scholarly research including the publication of peer-reviewed publications, obtaining of extramural funding, and participate in professional conferences.
An earned Ph.D. in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program, or related discipline AND an earned M.
S.W. or M.S.S.W. from an accredited social work program with a minimum of 3 ears post-masters social work practice experience, AND experience in teaching a minimum of 3 different courses a a post-secondary education institution is required.
Preferences will be be given to candidates with a diverse practice experience and who are licensed as a LGSW, LMSW or LICSW, particularly those who have experience in Forensic Social 'work or Social Work in Criminal Justice or Law Settings.
