Payroll Specialist (41670)
Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Payroll Specialist. This client is looking for someone with 1-2 years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and highly organized.
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local returns.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions.
- Assist with year-end processes, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations and company policies.
- Support audits and internal controls related to payroll processes.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to update payroll data for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
- Additional general duties and special projects as requested / assigned.
The Payroll Specialist will possess the following :
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
