We are seeking experienced Okuma 5-axis Machinists to join our team on our 1st and 2nd shifts. Our 2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential (in addition to hourly rate).
We also offer a Hire-On-Bonus of up to $3500.

The position :
We are seeking experienced Okuma 5-axis Machinists to operate our CNC machines utilizing the OSP-P300 CNC Control. You will be operating machines for valuable castings / forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers.
Typical 1st shift hours are 6 : 00 am-4 : 30 pm and 2nd shift hours are 4 : 20 pm-2 : 50 am Monday - Friday. Availability for overtime, including weekends and during peak production times, is a plus.

Job duties :
- Follow written instructions and read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finish specifications.
- Able to perform simple set-ups of many jobs. May operate more than one machine.
- Checks parts for conformance to specifications with precision gauges.
- Read and react accordingly to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports
- Complete problem-solving activities with a continuous improvement mindset
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
The Right Person / What we need from you :
- Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and true five-axis experience or equivalent.
- Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures, specifically the Okuma 5-axis OSP-P300 CNC Control.
- Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close
- Experience with part loading / unloading utilizing a crane and basic material handling knowledge
- Experience with manual clamping / part location as well as
- Experience with tool setup and compensation processes
- Geometric tolerancing and dimensioning trained
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Must be able to read and write English. Basic computer skills are a plus.
