ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP and Quality Medical Management Services USA, LLC is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Billing Operations Team Supervisor for our Corporate office location.
Supervisor Role Expectations :
- Adheres to standards of professionalism set by the Practice; demonstrates professionalism in behavior, dress, attendance, punctuality and courtesy towards patients and staff
- Respects confidentiality and is HIPAA compliant in all aspects of communication regarding patient, practice and staff members
- Functions as a member of a team and promotes a positive work attitude fostering teamwork and acceptance of management decisions
- Works closely with Billing Operations Manager.
- Leads by setting a good example (role model)
- Handles difficult situations with professionalism
- Maintains a positive attitude
- Demonstrates good judgment in escalating difficult situations and people to the manager
- Reviews all processes for efficiency and implements improvements as necessary
- Determine department staffing, evaluate employee performance and make recommendations concerning hiring and terminations
- Interact with various managers and PSA's to resolve and improve patient issues and interdepartmental processes
- Guides, and educates the staff to areas of focus
- Supports managements goal of utilizing the electronic features of our computer system, as opposed to paper
- Exercises discretion and judgment
- Holds individuals accountable for completing tasks
- Motivates and inspires team members
- Interviews candidates for available positions in the department
- Help and develop the team members
- Reports directly to Billing Operations Manager
Essential Knowledge & Responsibilities for Billing Operations Team Supervisor include but are not limited to :
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of The Billing Operations Team
- Must be up to date on all information regarding insurance practices provided by the collections team.
- Making sure the staff always keeps a professional, happy, respectful tone with the patients
- Enforce all policies and procedures for the department
- Train all incoming new staff
- Review all procedures with staff when required.
- Implementing all special project reports within the staff members
- Review the Significant Event report when needed
- Monitoring the follow up techniques within the department
- Answering all email inquiries on a daily basis from the staff, the offices, collection agencies, and patients.
- Assisting the patients that are requesting a supervisor or escalated issue.
- Triage all patient inquiries to the correct office location or department
- Confirming all batches are closed on a daily basis
- Confirming all payment plans are worked and up to date on a weekly basis
- Monitoring that the staff is logged in to the que during their scheduled hours
- Working closely with our outside collection agency including but not limited to the dispute portal, emails, and various reports provided.
- Reporting all payments and adjustment with our outside collection agency
- Monitoring all reports are done on a weekly basis in regard to our outside collection agency, and pre collection agency.
- Any other duties that arise throughout the day needing the supervisor's assistance
- Prior experience and understanding of medical insurance.

Hybrid Schedule : Monday - Friday 7 : 30am - 4pm
