About the role :

The Finance team is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the FP&A Process and Reporting team as part of the launch of Global HQ FinOps.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a new capability and talent pipeline for the US Finance organization. The new hub will facilitate standardized and streamlined reporting, process alignment, and technology enablement across divisions.

The FinOps Process & Reporting Senior Manager will report to the FinOps Associate Director Lead and will manage a team of approximately five financial analysts.

This position has a high degree of collaboration initially with the Finance Forward team, as well as interaction with corporate, divisional, and regional finance groups across the organization.

This is a hybrid position (in office minimum three days per week) with the flexibility to be located in Marlborough or Minnesota.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Oversee and lead Global HQ FinOps process and reporting activities, supporting the Global Divisions and Corporate Functions.
  • Serve as an engaging leader of a team of financial analysts; provide outstanding support, service, and partnership to US FP&A teams.
  • Oversee preparation, delivery, timeliness, and accuracy of financial reports serviced through Global HQ FinOps to track performance and support decision-making across Global divisions.
  • Set strategy for identifying opportunities to streamline & improve financial planning and analysis processes by driving process improvement roadmap, projects, & priorities, including better use of leveraging technology.
  • Support report delivery and continuity during FP&A process and system changes (e.g., EPM, PPM).
  • Partner with FinOps Business Process team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Boston Scientific Finance teams to effectively understand stakeholder needs and assess areas of opportunity.
  • Facilitate intake process for FinOps requests and ensure alignment across process improvement roadmap and team priorities.
  • Create opportunities to share best practices and align processes globally across the FP&A organization, including with EMEA FinOps and APAC FP&A Hub.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain strong local team members.
  • Identify and manage the training, development, and upskilling of local team members.

Required qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and business support.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive process improvements, and support change management principles.
  • Experience managing early-career professionals.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end process thinking with the ability to drive global process harmonization.
  • Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; skilled at problem-solving to meet internal customers’ needs; proven ability to work through roadblocks;

demonstrated critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven.

  • Continuous Improvement mindset, including evaluation of current offerings with an eye towards future enhancements, expanded scope, and new capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop and maintain relationships on all levels within a global organization;

ability to communicate how and why decisions were made to various stakeholder groups.

  • Strong skills in Excel, Hyperion, and SAP, plus Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • Ability to travel 5-10%.

Preferred qualifications :

  • A desire and commitment to meaningfully contribute to organizational culture.
  • Proven results applying lean process improvement in enterprise-wide and transactional environments.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar.
  • Prior experience in a medium to large medical device company.
  • Prior leadership role in driving organizational or major process change.
