Overview
Our client operates business units specializing in the design and manufacturing of industrial systems for diverse markets worldwide.
Join their team as a Senior Buyer and advance your career while getting to work with innovative automation machinery. As a Buyer you will be responsible for delivering materials, parts and vendors services at planned or better margins, with agreed upon lead times and beneficial financial terms.
You will also be responsible for collaborating with operations to help deliver all consumable products and services so that they meets or exceed shipment schedules and customers expectation.
Salary : $65,000-85,000
Job Responsibilities
- Obtain favorable lead times of materials and vendor services to support all project and consumable needs
- Obtain favorable and increase margins to support all projects and consumable needs
- Diversify and quantify vendor base
- Continue to work with vendor base to make sure that we continuously have the latest and best product and component offerings
Requirements
- 2+ Years doing technical buying / purchasing in a manufacturing setting
- Proven experience negotiating and closing deals with favorable terms
- Experience buying in a manufacturing environment
- Must have the ability to read technical prints / drawings in order to advise customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
