Job Summary :
Participates in activities and systems related to management of cash resources. Becomes full SME of cash deposit area and participates in or leads projects in all areas of the company related to banking deposit services.
Researches and evaluates current processes. Journals deposits through ERP system and will have authorization to communicate directly with the company’s financial institutions.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
50% Key daily functions included but not limited to 1) check deposit processing of incoming funds and emails internal business units.
2) review of external lockbox service and preparation of accounting entries. 3) performs routine morning procedures to prepare for huddle.
4) Provides technical assistance to resolve complex customer service issues both internally and externally that may require additional research and communication with other departments and the bank.
5) Take deposits to the bank if scanning is not available. 6) Assist in the processing of bank by mail transactions as required and within the established timeframe.
7) Gate keeper to the huddle and problem-solving board by liaising with the Treasury Analyst.
15% Prepare, update, keep current task documentation for key treasury functions. Inclusive of QRGs and task documentation.
15% Identify opportunities for improvement in treasury operation including processes involving lockboxes, internal and external customers.
With instruction, researches, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations to optimize efficiency. As assigned, will participate in companywide projects as needed to identify and assist in implement approved changes or any M&A activity.
10% Work in tandem with accountant in review of all outages on the bank reconciliation. Research outstanding reconciliation items and follow up with the appropriate areas to clear times in accordance with the established time frames.
In conjunction, provide all supporting documentation for outstanding items and / or problem items. Assisting in all other performance of tasks when needed within the department, unusual problem solving or questions, explaining procedures internally.
10% Perform key treasury functions listed above and back up assigned staff as needed. Agile enough to assist manager in support functions as needed.
Job specifications
Education :
- Associate degree (REQUIRED), Advanced coursework in accounting preferred.
- CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) : PREFERRED
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years or equivalent combination of education and / or relevant experience in retail bank branch, cash deposits, cash handling, or experience in account reconcilement.
Proficient PC skills with Microsoft Office applications, shared drives, and e-mail. SharePoint a plus.
Proficiency with ERP Accounting Systems (Workday, Oracle, Sage)
Knowledge / Skills :
The ability to grasp and complete daily routine tasks timely and accurately based on existing process. Passion to improve processes.
Ability to multi-task and function efficiently in high volume, time-oriented deadline environment.
Ability to remove emotion from situation and resolve conflict.
Flexibility due to daily deadlines or shifting workloads.
Capacity to work independently and exercise independent judgement.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year.
Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
