Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain automated data collection systems to provide timely metrics and analysis to support manufacturing operations.
- Work with production leadership to define requirements for data collection and visualization.
- Assist the project team with data collection hardware, network infrastructure, protocol design, and data processing / analysis.
- Design and implement Andon visualization screens and management reporting tools.
- Continuously seek improvements in equipment and process performance.
- Monitor system performance and provide guidance regarding system storage and processing requirements.
- Be responsive to management requests for new features or modifications to existing features.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Will consider AS with more manufacturing experience
- 3+years of relevant experience, including client / server networking, SQL database programming, report generation, graphical design and organization of data for Andon visualization.
- PLC / HMI programming knowledge.
- Knowledge of information flow in a manufacturing environment.
- Possess strong organization and planning skills, effective time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to management.
- Can communicate and work well with all levels inside and outside of the organization.
- Skilled with reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specification sheets, and component manuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled with compiling effective and concise visual reports.
- Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.).
- Knowledge of MES, SCADA, Inductive Automation Ignition system a plus.
- Advanced education is a plus
- Professional trainings / certifications are a plus
